The most Highest of Holy Days has come. All Hallows Eve, Samhain, or Halloween. So many condemn this day, why? I think it is because they fear that which they don't understand. Samhain is a day of remembering those whom we lost or wish to commune with once more. I think the holiday is a fun time and a calm time of rememberence. When I hear those say how evil this day is then I always reply and say, "Then don't celebrate Christmas, because that is ours too. So which is more evil?" Like I say.... Which is evil? NONE!! They call it bad because of it haveing things of scary things, but what about Christmas? It is good, because it is a CHRISTIAN holiday? No... it was pagan down to the keel. Nothing shows or even gives that it belongs to them at all. Remember.... Samhain is OUR High Holy Day so enjoy it and let it bring renewal and peace for you as you remember those gone on from here. BLESSED BE!!

Some biblical scholars have said that Jesus was born some time in the summer, perhaps August. The holiday was moved to December 25 (winter solstice by the Julian calendar) to help them with their conversions of "unbelievers". Some churches didn't celebrate Christmas at all believing that it was dangerous to worship God as a mortal. They changed Samhain for the worse as well but did it to convert the Celts by way of fear. So sad. I think more and more people are coming to realize that the unknown doesn't equal evil and spirits of the departed are not demons. I hope it continues. Blessed Samhain!
