This last month in March, I had the privaledge of doing a New Moon ritual for myself. It is something I knew my home and my own wellbeing needed. When I did complete it, all seemed to be cast away and banished from inside and out. Anything that was crunching me emotionally as well as spiritually was cleasned. Much like a bath, out spiritual lives need a bit of cleaning too. Most of us forget just how important that is.... "out with the old, In with the new!" I have now made it a plan to do this once a month. Not just from the home, but within.... If you have not ever tried this, please do, you won't be disappointed. I know I'm not.
A Time of Renewal.... A New Beginning....
Lately I have had a lot of things change so quickly. "Why so harsh?" I asked myself. These things are lessons to be learned in life. Things I have been stubbern to learn. Now, it seems the gods themselves are giving me a lesson in learning to change or die. Like the butterfly or other creatures that must change to survive, we too must learn to do so or like them...parish. Sometimes it can be harsh, but in the end it will be beautiful and blessings can follow.
This is one of my favorite times of the year, Spring. It is when the earth awakens and comes to life. As the Equinox appoaches, may we all take notice at how the earth awakens and give new life for us all to enjoy. The warmth, the new sents that come from the flowers and trees themselves. Enjoy for it is the Dance of the God and Goddess together in joy. May we learn to die to the old as spring approaches and remember... Spring is the time of Renewal and New Beginnings... Keep those things in mind and know that it is worth the sacrifice and pain for only a little while to be a part of the Dance of the Gods. It is thier dance, and thier song of youth and beauty... Don't refuse to embrace it, but sing and listen and you too will see the newness that comes to you.
Looking forward.....
Most of us look to the past on Samhain, but now it is the day after. This is what I see as a time of not just relection, but what we wish to accomplish. I have recently started my business for myself and see it being a success. It has already begun and I look to the coming year with promise and blessings. The ones I do wish to look to though are the ones who are without. I remember them in thought and hope and wish the best of all things for those whom are less thought of this time coming up. I keep them in my thoughts and prayers each time. I know that the love of the God and Goddess will keep them safe and will give them all that they need.
This Samhain was a wonderful time. I had a chance to call down the moon for the first time. The most wonderful feeling came over me. The memories of my grandfather, stepfather, and brother. They were there.... with me. I could do nothing but smile and be at peace knowing they are there waiting to carry on to new hights. That is a day I will not forget. I hope all have had a wonderful Samhain and are looking forward to a Joyous Winter Solstis..... Merry we meet and marry we part and marry we meet again.... Blessed Be my friends... Blessed Be.
Just a thought.....
The most Highest of Holy Days has come. All Hallows Eve, Samhain, or Halloween. So many condemn this day, why? I think it is because they fear that which they don't understand. Samhain is a day of remembering those whom we lost or wish to commune with once more. I think the holiday is a fun time and a calm time of rememberence. When I hear those say how evil this day is then I always reply and say, "Then don't celebrate Christmas, because that is ours too. So which is more evil?" Like I say.... Which is evil? NONE!! They call it bad because of it haveing things of scary things, but what about Christmas? It is good, because it is a CHRISTIAN holiday? No... it was pagan down to the keel. Nothing shows or even gives that it belongs to them at all. Remember.... Samhain is OUR High Holy Day so enjoy it and let it bring renewal and peace for you as you remember those gone on from here. BLESSED BE!!
Autumn Approches....
The time has come to observe the coming of the Autumn Equinox. A time to enjoy the last fruits of the Harvest. I love to colors of autumn and it cool and crisp renew of the earth beginning its sleep. I like to say it is Mother Nature's yawn before she sleeps. This is a time of remembering the fruits of what I have gained and what to do with these gifts. One of them is my joy in love that is now found, new friendships made and such. I also want to thank those of the Pagan community for their understandings and love and acceptance...for thier willingness to teach and nuture those that are growing and becoming part of this peaceful community. Thanks to all of you whom I have crossed paths with.... all have been wonderful and I treasure you all.
As you take time to celebrate with your families, friends, or covens take time to be greatful and thankful for what you have gained or have been given. Have a beautiful Autumn Equinox and a joyous one. BLESSED BE !!!!
